Southbound continues its London History Sessions with Part 3, a night built around the roots of grime, dubstep and the grey zone in between. On 18 September 2026 at Phonox in London, the focus is on the people who helped shape that early sound, from pirate-radio energy to forward-leaning club pressure.
Roll Deep step in as true originators: the ever-shifting East London crew that grew out of the Wiley era and helped define grime as a collective sport, all fast bars, reload culture and raw momentum. Expect the kind of selections and mic-work that nod to their mixtape years as much as the bigger records that followed.
Alongside them, Swindle brings his producer brain and DJ instincts, bridging grime swing and dubstep weight with bright, rhythmic detail. Grandmixxer and Just Jane round out the bill with sets aimed at classics, dubplates and deep cuts, keeping the session rooted in history while still made for the dance.
