If you've been following trance for a while, you know how central Armin van Buuren has been to the Dutch electronic landscape. Born in Leiden, he established himself in the 1990s with a signature that blends melodic and progressive trance, often leaning toward uplifting, while not shying away from detours through house or EDM across the decades. Beyond the sets, he has built a true universe around A State of Trance, his show that became a global appointment, extended through tours and events.
On the studio side, his discography traces his different phases, from 76 and Shivers to Imagine, Mirage, then Intense, Embrace, Balance and Feel Again, with that sense of ascent and the textures that are his hallmark. Co-founder of Armada Music, he has also pursued numerous collaborations, keeping an open approach while remaining rooted in the trance culture.
