City of the Sun lands in Warsaw on September 29, 2026 at the VooDoo Club with its formula as simple as it is effective: two acoustic guitars and percussion, for a wholly instrumental set. Born in the streets of New York in the early 2010s, the trio led by John Pita, Avi Snow and Zach Para first cut their teeth in parks and in the subway, before moving from small rooms to larger tours, in the United States as well as in Europe.
On stage, their music unfolds in tableaux: guitar lines that flirt with flamenco, rhythms drawing from both indie rock and folk, nods to Latin American music, and above all a real emphasis on improvisation and collective playing. The pieces function like soundscapes, alternating repetitive motifs, rising tension and more contemplative breaths. A way of circulating energy without words, to the ear and to the body.
