Info
Formed in Bogotá in the early 2010s, Morat has carved out a niche with a folk-rooted Latin pop, where acoustic strings and vocal harmonies take center stage. The quartet—Juan Pablo Isaza, Simón Vargas, Juan Pablo Villamil, and Martín Vargas—builds songs with a classic structure, with guitars, bass, and banjo propelling romantic and narrative lyrics, designed to be sung in chorus and to grow in live performances. Their international breakthrough came with "Mi nuevo vicio" alongside Paulina Rubio, and since then they have lined up tours and collaborations with key names in Spanish-language pop such as Álvaro Soler, Aitana, and Sebastián Yatra.
On October 16, 2026, at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, Morat will bring that repertoire, which alternates ballads and more rhythmic tracks, with choruses that stick from the first listen and a band setup that works purely on chemistry. A chance to reconnect with their songs exactly as they were conceived: intimate, singable, and with that acoustic edge that makes them recognizable from the first chord.
