On 19 December 2026, Belle and Sebastian stop by Sheffield City Hall to perform If You’re Feeling Sinister in full, as part of an anniversary tour that also brings Tigermilk back to the fore. Two records released in 1996, which established the Glasgow band and Stuart Murdoch’s songwriting as a touchstone of narrative indie pop: down-to-earth characters, discreet humor, deceptively wise melodies, and those chamber-pop arrangements where strings and brass underscore without overpowering.
On stage, the idea isn’t to put on a disguised best-of, but to stitch the album back together piece by piece, in order, like a narrative you experience in one sitting. A simple and direct way to reclaim the energy of the early days, the finesse of the lyrics, and that unmistakably their own way of turning everyday life into small scenes.
