We Are Scientists arrive in Liverpool on October 2, 2026, at the O2 Academy Liverpool, with this lineup that has defined their signature since the late 1990s. Born in Berkeley before settling in New York, the band led by Keith Murray and Chris Cain draws a clear line between tense indie rock, nervy alternative and post-punk revival, without losing the sense of the chorus that hooks quickly.
On stage, you’ll find short, punchy songs driven by dry guitars, a bass front and center and direct energy. From With Love and Squalor to their more recent records, the duo has evolved its writing toward more pop formats while keeping that rock nerve and a taste for immediate melodies.
