On September 19, 2026, at the O2 Academy Oxford, As It Is brings pop punk and emo back to the forefront, with a knack for choruses that cling to the skin and lyrics that speak plainly about relationships, doubts, and what’s cracking inside. Born in Brighton around Patty Walters, the band has built its discography between melodic urgency and darker turns, especially when mental-health themes take precedence and the guitars grow heavier. On stage, it alternates between adrenaline surges and more tense moments, always carried by a very direct vocal presence.
As the opening act, Greywind, a brother-sister duo from Killarney, plays with another shade of intensity: emotionally charged alternative rock, emo energy and clean melodies. The voices of Steph O’Sullivan and the guitar of Paul trace tight songs, no frills, between density and brighter, more aerial bursts. A set for those who like it straight to the heart, without overdoing it.
