On November 24, 2026, at The Park Theatre in Winnipeg, Turnover brings the “Down on Earth Tour” with a set that mirrors their steady shift in sound. Formed in Virginia Beach, the band started out close to pop-punk and emo before leaning into a calmer, more textured indie rock. Expect airy guitars, slower builds, and that introspective edge that runs from Magnolia to Peripheral Vision, then into the brighter tones of Good Nature and the more nuanced, soft-pop approach of Altogether and Myself in the Way.
Nothing joins the bill with their Philadelphia-born shoegaze blend: thick distortion, vocals tucked deep in the mix, and melodies that stay bittersweet even when the volume hits hard. Built around Domenic “Nicky” Palermo, their songs move between noise-heavy swells and stripped-back moments, in the line of albums like Guilty of Everything and The Great Dismal.
Opening the night, trauma ray brings the heavier side of the haze. Coming out of Fort Worth, they mix shoegaze blur with grunge weight and doom-leaning tension, balancing crushing guitars with a melodic core, as captured on their album Chameleon.
