Forty years after their first album Tutti Frutti, The Wampas take the stage at La Luciole to present their 15th studio album, 'Where Are We Going?'. To kick things off, Bad Bad Bird delivers bright, saturated energy. An evening of guitars, catchy choruses, and a binary release.
The Wampas
Led by Didier, conductor and master of ceremonies, the quintet delivers another ration of rock'n'roll. Faithful to its formula—a mix of electric fury, binary melodies and unrestrained energy—the group balances forty years of touring with a freshness that remains intact.
For this new album, The Wampas recorded all the tracks together, live and simultaneously in the studio. On stage, the power is at maximum from the first seconds. Guided by Didier's gravelly voice mixed front and center, the band brings together several generations of rock fans, from the 1977 punk wave to the golden age of alternative rock.
Their setlist will navigate between new songs and nods to their history:
- the title track 'Where Are We Going?', an anthem born from an immediate need to wake up
- the track 'Punk Worker', re-recorded by the band and a nod to Didier's autobiography
- true, quirky or touching stories ('Aline in Reykjavik', 'The Coronados'), all propelled by sharp guitars

Under the artistic direction of Manu Ralambo (former guitarist of Radio Elvis), she turns chaotic situations into sunny songs, determined to spread sweetness without letting go.
