Soulfly

Soulfly lands at TAMA in Poznań on August 24, 2026. Built around Max Cavalera since 1997, the band drives a hybrid form of metal that threads groove and thrash with death metal grit and flashes of nu metal, all carried by tribal percussion and echoes of traditional music. Over time the lineup has shifted, but the core stays the same: dense, down‑tuned riffs, weighty tempos, and sudden openings for atmospheric or acoustic detours that reset the pulse before the next surge.

From the self‑titled debut (1998) through Primitive, Prophecy, Dark Ages and Conquer to Ritual and Totem (2022), Soulfly has sketched a path that balances aggression with rhythm and texture. Along the way, collaborations have crossed members of Deftones, Slayer, Megadeth, Morbid Angel or Ill Niño, feeding a sound that is both tight and open to outside currents. On stage, the set draws across eras, from early staples to recent tracks, stitching heavy grooves to percussive breaks and tense, chant‑led passages. Cavalera’s voice and guitar steer the flow while the band locks in behind him, delivering Soulfly’s trademark push‑and‑pull between impact and trance at TAMA, Poznań.
