Ethan Regan

On 14 December 2026 Ethan Regan will be at the Melkweg in Amsterdam. The singer-songwriter from North Carolina has been building an alternative folk sound with experimental edges since the late 2010s. As a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer he keeps his songs stripped-down and direct: vocals front and center, sparse guitar or keys, and rhythms that draw on influences from rock, hip-hop and funk. After a first single in 2019 came the EPs Exist. and Sixty Miles on Seventy-Seven (2020), the album parlor. (2021) and the EP we could’ve done this together (2023), supported by tracks such as durham, my fault, wildflowers and secrecy. In 2024 he released timbuktu and the single peach tree. Live, he sets studio tricks aside and keeps things intimate: whispering verses, melodies that slowly unfurl and arrangements that move subtly. He has previously opened for Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Chelsea Cutler and Jeremy Zucker; in Amsterdam he will perform a set that makes his songs even more immediate.
