An Seòmar presents Valtos

Skye duo Valtos — Daniel Docherty and Martyn MacDonald — bring their blend of Gaelic song, traditional melodies and club-driven electronics to An Seòmar in Inverness on 19 December 2026. Shaped by the landscapes of the Hebrides, their music carries a clear sense of place, threading dancefloor pulse with motifs from the Gaelic repertoire. Onstage they expand to a full live band, scaling up their productions into tight, physical arrangements built for a live room.

Since launching the project in 2021, Valtos have traced a line between the trad scene and contemporary electronic production, from remixes for Scottish peers to originals like Home and Ceòl Dannsa, and collaborations across the folk circuit. Their trajectory has taken them through UK festivals and earned nods from BBC Introducing and The Scots Trad Awards. The set moves with momentum, opens space when needed, then leans back into rhythm, keeping the connection between club energy and Highland roots.
