Boston Manor bring their evolving take on UK punk to Gorilla in Manchester on 9 December 2026. Formed in Blackpool in 2013, the band came up through the pop-punk circuit before widening the frame: from the raw hooks of early EPs Here/Now, Driftwood and Saudade to the punch of debut album Be Nothing, then the darker, more atmospheric turns of Welcome to the Neighbourhood and Glue. That shift continued with the EP Desperate Times, Desperate Pleasures, followed by Datura in 2022 and Sundiver in 2024.
Led by Henry Cox’s voice, Boston Manor write songs that connect punk urgency, emo-leaning melodies and an urban, abrasive edge. Their catalogue moves between direct choruses and more brooding textures, with layered guitars and tight rhythms setting the tone. They also recorded a version of Twenty One Pilots’ Heathens for Punk Goes Pop Vol. 7, a detour that underlines their feel for recasting pop structures through a rock lens.
