On 19 October 2026 FKJ (French Kiwi Juice) will be at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. Behind the name is Vincent Fenton, a French multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer who builds his tracks live, layer by layer. With keyboards, bass, guitar and a soft voice he moves between nu-jazz, electronica, R&B and French house with a soulful edge, always leaving room for improvisation. On stage grooves are stretched, themes revisited and new directions arise on the spot.

Since his debut album French Kiwi Juice (2017), FKJ has been known for slow tempos, warm textures and melodies that refer as much to jazz as to pop. The improvised session “Tadow” with Masego became a landmark; afterwards came the Ylang Ylang EP (2019), the spare Just Piano (2021) and Vincent (2022), on which he further reveals his more intimate side. With “Greener,” recorded with Carlos Santana, he explores the dialogue between funk, soul and fusion.

Live it’s all about feel and spontaneity: smooth keys, pulsing bass, guitar lines that breathe and vocals that hold everything together. Expect a set that alternates between calm passages and grooving sections, in which FKJ continually reshapes his material.
