Sam Gellaitry

Scottish producer and songwriter Sam Gellaitry lands in Montréal on 23 August 2026 for a show at Le Studio TD. Raised in Stirling and first noticed for a run of online tracks, he joined Soulection in the mid-2010s and shaped the Escapism EPs: cinematic builds, bright synth melodies and fractured, elastic drums. In recent years his studio work has shifted toward song form, bringing his own voice to the forefront and borrowing the clarity of pop structures while keeping a careful ear for textures and switch-ups.

On stage, that evolution plays out in real time. Gellaitry moves from bass-weighted instrumentals to vocal-led cuts, threading hip-hop, R&B and trap influences with tempo flips and subtle changes in tone. One moment it’s a tight beatmaker sketch, the next a hook opening into something more pop-leaning, with a steady flow between club energy and alternative songcraft. His tours across the UK, Europe and North America have honed that balance; Montréal gets a set that scans his catalogue and leaves room for fresh turns and new arrangements.
