Masego

Masego brings his self-styled "TrapHouseJazz" to The O2, London on 18 October 2026. Jamaican-American singer, saxophonist and producer, he weaves R&B, jazz, hip hop and trap into fluid, melodic cuts, slipping from crooning to rap cadences and from keys to sax solos. First noticed for the improvised session Tadow with FKJ, he’s since drawn his own line with the album Lady Lady, the Studying Abroad EP and a self-titled record, sharpening relaxed grooves and sleek, uncluttered production.

On stage, Masego acts as bandleader and multi-instrumentalist, cueing live loops, sparring with the rhythm section and opening his tracks to improvisation. Favorites like Navajo, Tadow, Mystery Lady or You Never Visit Me often appear in reworked versions with extended sax phrases, call and response and tempo shifts. Between neo-soul slow burns and head-nodding bounce, his set sits where contemporary R&B brushes against jazz clubs and alternative hip hop, with room for special guests to slip into the flow.
