Arkells

Arkells land at Project House in Leeds on 27 September 2026 with the inclusive, big-chorus indie rock that has carried them from campus shows to major festivals. Formed in Hamilton, Ontario, the band builds around Max Kerman’s lead and a tight quintet that blends sharp guitars, pop hooks and a hint of soul. Over time they’ve widened the palette: keys and brass on High Noon and Rally Cry, unplugged intimacy on Campfire Chords, collaborations and groove-led textures on Blink Once and Blink Twice, then a return to close-up songwriting with Laundry Pile.

On stage, Arkells play like a house band for the whole room. Expect call-and-response moments, clapping breaks and melodies built for collective voices, balanced with quieter cuts that bring the lights down. The set moves fast—old essentials next to newer singles—held together by a clear knack for storytelling and a rhythm section that keeps things moving.
