To structure chaos, to sacralize tension — that could be Gilla Band’s mantra, their sonic work not out of place in the corridors of a brutalist gallery. Four years after the album "Most Normal", the Dublin quartet today unveils the single "Giraffe" and announces two concerts in France, including on January 20, 2027 at the Trabendo in Paris.
For more than ten years, Gilla Band, composed of singer Dara Kiely, guitarist Alan Duggan Borges, bassist Daniel Fox and drummer Adam Faulkner, has been redefining what might loosely be called "rock" in the 21st century, influencing in the process a wave of avant-garde guitar bands. The group has refined a vision that was neither quite post-punk nor quite noise rock, a singular hybrid music that arises from the four of them.
