Adelaide, late 1980s. When Pink Floyd decided to turn the page, others preferred to pick the story up from the very beginning. It was there, on the shores of Gulf St Vincent, that a group of young musicians decided to take matters into their own hands. They would not let this repertory of contemporary music fall into ruin under the weight of time.

If a painter leaves canvases, a musician leaves albums. But what about the stage performance? Which path should be taken to allow today’s youth and yesterday’s nostalgics to feel that same sensation, the one you had when the London band walked on stage? The Australian Pink Floyd Show seems to have found an answer. They are neither soulless copyists nor opportunists seeking glory by proxy. To keep the music alive, they chose to become torchbearers — creative and faithful — blending the sensations of the past with the warmth of the present moment.

They traded pubs for halls and stadiums. They have played on several continents, before early fans as well as new audiences. Between lasers, a carefully crafted pyrotechnic display and a repertoire centered on Pink Floyd, this acclaimed tribute band offers a show that brings sound and light together around the band’s catalogue.
