On 29 October 2026 at the Minotaur in Vendôme, Rockomotives brings together Bertrand Belin, Syd Matters, Zoh Amba and Cate Hortl.
For twenty years Bertrand Belin has been refining a clear writing style and a distinctive deep voice, poised between chanson and hushed rock. On stage, his phrasing fits spare arrangements. His next album examines place, impulse, fear and movement, with a more upfront vocal approach and lyrics that open new paths for his minimalism.
Syd Matters, the project of Jonathan Morali, made a mark in 2003 with End & Start Again and a folk sound of off-kilter melodies. Four albums on, Black & White Eyes, Obstacles, To All Of You and I Might Float remain touchstones. In the meantime Morali has composed for film and video games, including Life Is Strange. He returns here with unreleased material and long-awaited songs.
Originally from Tennessee, Zoh Amba made her name with a tenor voice, navigating free jazz, the avant-garde and melodic fervour. Her records blend collective energy with open spaces. In 2025 she turned toward writing songs on acoustic guitar, moving into folk territory. On stage this shift lays the melodic line and breath bare.
Under the alias Cate Hortl, Charlotte Boisselier continues solo after Ambeyance and Oktober Lieber. She carves out a groove where modern Italo, dark pop, EBM and techno brush against one another. Stormy yet lucid atmospheres, melancholy and pulse: her music invites both dancing and inward-looking reflection.
