Jahneration

On March 11, 2027, at La Carrière in Saint-Herblain, Jahneration brings their reggae–hip hop blend made for the stage. Formed in Paris in 2009 by Théo and Ogach, the duo traded their first punk rock loves for music steeped in Jamaican culture. Musicians since childhood, they write and sing in English laced with patois, sometimes in French, over instrumentals that mingle roots, digital influences and dancehall touches. Curious about the source, they made numerous trips to Jamaica and recorded in 2017 at Tuff Gong Studios, the Marley family’s legacy. Along the way they have recorded notable collaborations with Alborosie, Queen Omega, Manu Chao, Dub Inc, Danakil, and especially Naâman, with whom the 2011 track "Me Nah Fed Up" marked a real turning point. With six albums and hundreds of concerts to their name, Théo and Ogach arrive with their band for a set that draws from all periods of their career: sung choruses, rapped flows, solid rhythm sections and urban energy serving a modern, direct reggae. It’s an opportunity to hear on stage the songs that built their path as well as their latest productions.
