Thylacine

Thylacine, also known as William Rezé, will perform at L’Olympia on 24 March 2027 with his traveling electronics, positioned between melodic techno, ambient and downtempo rhythms. Trained on the saxophone and steeped in jazz and classical music, he composes as one constructs a sound film: patient loops, harmonic progressions and textures that advance in layers. Since his itinerant projects, he records on the move and transforms the real into musical material. Transsiberian was written along the Trans-Siberian Railway, from sounds collected on trains and in stations. Roads Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 prolong this travelogue, nourished by landscapes and encounters. With Timeless he revisits Debussy, Satie and Beethoven in a pared-down electronic language, without abandoning the pulse.

On stage, Thylacine weaves these chapters into an immersive set where the music dialogues with footage shot throughout his journeys. Hypnotic pulses, ambient breaths, melodies sometimes carried by the saxophone: the concert unfolds a sensitive journey conceived as continuous movement, where each piece opens a new perspective.
