HVOB

HVOB are the Vienna-born duo of Anna Müller and Paul Wallner, two producers who write and build their music and stage design as one piece. On June 27, 2026 at Nordstern in Basel, they bring a live show where techno’s pulse, minimal house grooves and pared-down synth pop meet Anna’s clear voice and a light system they code themselves. Each piece unfolds patiently, layering cool textures, lean melodies and measured tempos while the visuals answer in precise rhythms and soft gradients, turning the room into a single canvas. On stage, the border between studio and club blurs: sequences are reworked live, dynamics stretch and tighten, and themes drift from driving passages to slower, more atmospheric zones. The lighting isn’t decoration but a second instrument, triggered and modulated in sync with the arrangements to shape space and perspective. HVOB’s method favors clarity and tension over volume, using repetition to carry the movement and leaving room for silence, an AV set where sound and light move together.
