Schur « The No Schortcuts Tour »

Schur brings The No Schortcuts Tour to King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow on 21 October 2026. Based in New York after growing up in Connecticut, he shapes a blend of rap, indie pop and alternative hip-hop rooted in an early attachment to the guitar. As a teenager he played in Pampalibros and cut his teeth on bar and small venue stages, then co-founded Rock Cottage Studio to record local artists, organize benefit shows for Horns for Kids and help launch the Rendezvous festival.

In New York, between studies at Columbia, Schur leaned into contemporary hip-hop, absorbing the work of Kanye West, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Logic and Felly, and began releasing his own tracks, including Gullwing Bravado and the project The Unsure Mixtape. His music moves between rapped and sung vocals, melodic productions where guitars meet modern rap and pop rhythms, and introspective writing drawn from life between Connecticut and the city. On this tour, he brings that hybrid energy to the stage, with special guests joining the bill.
