Wage War and Invent Animate take over O2 Forum Kentish Town, London, on 16 January 2027.
Formed in 2010 in Ocala, Florida, Wage War shape a metalcore in which clean choruses and abrasive vocals collide over massive guitars. The band has refined its songwriting across Blueprints (2015), Deadweight (2017), Pressure (2019), Manic (2021) and Stigma (2024), moving from a breakdown-heavy formula to more open structures without relinquishing the weight of the riffs. Their catalogue, built on contrast and tension, was consolidated through shared tours with Parkway Drive, August Burns Red, I Prevail and Disturbed.
Invent Animate, formed in 2011 in Port Neches, Texas, take a more progressive direction. The band blends technical, djent-inspired riffs with atmospheric layers, alternating screams and melodic passages. Centered on multi-instrumentalist Trey Celaya, with Caleb Sherraden on bass and Swedish vocalist Marcus Vik since 2019, their trajectory runs from Everchanger (2014) and Stillworld (2016) to Greyview (2020), the EP The Sun Sleeps, As If It Never Was (2021) and Heavener (2023). Between syncopated grooves, finely sculpted guitars and more open spaces, the band presents a technical and introspective facet of metalcore.
