World Brain

World Brain, the solo project of Lucas Chantre, arrives in Milan on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Circolo Arci Bellezza. Under this alias, the German musician writes in French and moves his tracks between experimental pop, jazz and electronic music, with a narrative sensibility that looks to cinema. In concert he alternates live-played instruments with retro-flavored digital soundscapes, interlocking textures, small loops and elastic melodies that slide on without settling into a single style. At the center are themes of connection and the relationship between technology and human experience, sharpened by arrangements that breathe and transform, as on the 2024 album Open Source.

His sister Noémie’s French vocals surface in several pieces, providing an intimate counterpoint that shifts the emphasis from machines to bodies. The set constructs a narrative through variations of texture and rhythm: synthetic pulses woven with warm harmonies, soft basslines, electronic details and measured pauses. A live performance that naturally brings song, experimentation and club culture into dialogue, aiming squarely at the balance between the organic and the synthetic.
