Takuya Kuroda

On November 13, 2026, at L'Alhambra, Takuya Kuroda presents Everyday, his eighth album, crafted day by day between modern production and organic playing. A Japanese trumpeter based in Brooklyn and an alumnus of the New School, he has for years been carving out a path where the trumpet converses with hip-hop, neo-soul and very contemporary jazz. In the continuity of Midnight Crisp (2022), he follows a clear method: compose at home, test in the studio, invite collaborators, then refine until he hears exactly the sound he is aiming for.

On stage, this alchemy takes shape in a hybrid, warm and rhythmic jazz. The trumpet, understated but incisive, interlaces with supple keyboards, supported by a solid rhythm section and textures that breathe the beat. Everyday foregrounds groove, repetition as a driving motor, and a collective sense of arrangement, without excess. A set conceived for nuance and impulse, where the discipline of the everyday nourishes the moment and lets the music breathe.
