Ankor, from Tarragona in Catalonia, drives a modern metal blend shaped by guitarist-composer David Romeu and fronted by British singer Jessie Williams. The band shifts between metalcore punch, alternative rock textures and pop-leaning hooks, with touches of electronics. English and Spanish lyrics circle around resilience, relationships and daily tensions, carried by a play between clean vocals and more abrasive parts. Their set draws on Beyond the Silence of These Years and recent releases, balancing heavy riffs with clear melodies and dynamic breaks.
Born in Stockholm, Self Deception brings together vocalist Andreas Clark, drummer Erik Ingels Graham, guitarist Ronny Westphal and bassist Patrik Hallgren. Their sound sits where modern rock, melodic hard rock and metal meet: dense guitars, a direct vocal line and refrains shaped by pop writing while keeping a solid, heavy core. From the self-titled album in 2018 to Destroy the Art in 2024, the band has edged toward a more massive and straightforward approach. On stage, that balance translates into driving riffs and choruses built to stick.
