Mama's Gun

Mamas Gun bring their soulful pop craft back to London with a set shaped by tight harmonies, supple grooves and a clear love for 70s R&B. Formed in the city and led by singer-guitarist Andy Platts, the band has honed a sound where melody leads, rhythm breathes and soft rock colours slip into the mix. On stage, that balance takes shape in real time: a rhythm section that keeps the pocket deep, keys and guitars trading textures, choruses that lift without rushing the feel. The show draws across their catalogue, from the early spark of Routes to Riches and The Life and Soul through the leaner writing of Cheap Hotel and Golden Days, to the more recent Cure the Jones, where their modern soul finds a warm, analog-tinted edge. Ballads, mid-tempos and funkier cuts rotate naturally, carried by Platts’ voice and the band’s attention to arrangement and dynamics. Saturday 5 December 2026, Mamas Gun play Signature Brew Blackhorse Road in London, for a night built on groove, songcraft and a live chemistry they’ve tested on clubs and festival stages at home and abroad.
