Weatherday, the Swedish DIY project of Lola aka Sputnik, brings its noise‑pop universe to Scala, London on 22 May 2026. Built around the new album Hornet Disaster, the set leans into the project’s bedroom roots: lo‑fi emo edges, shoegaze haze and jagged pop stitched into long, shifting pieces with layered guitars, saturated textures, heaving drums and filtered vocals. The caustic title track sets the tone, “Angel” snaps into focus backed with “Heartbeats,” and the show leaves space for side steps that widen the palette: a Swedish‑language nod to winter on “Pulka,” a renaissance flute winding through “Green Tea Seaweed Sea,” and the folktronica tilt of “Ripped Apart By Hands.”

As on Come In and the collaborative Weatherglow, structures break and reform, melodies swerve, and imperfections are part of the design. Weatherday ties the new songs back to earlier work with a clear throughline, threading the hornet motif across a dense tracklist and channeling the project’s non‑linear writing into something immediate and alive.
