GIRLI

GIRLI is the London pop project of Milly Toomey, carving a frank, hook-led sound where electronic pop, indie textures and a hint of punk meet. Her tracks slide between spoken-word cadences and bright melodies, with lyrics that look head-on at identity, relationships, mental health, gender and sexuality. Rooted in queer culture and a tightly engaged online community, she keeps the message direct and personal.

In recent years that voice has sharpened: her queer anthem More Than A Friend has passed 40 million streams and reshaped the way her catalogue is heard. From the abrasive introspection of Odd One Out (2019) to the Damsel in Distress EP (2021) and the more melodic turns of Matriarchy (2024), the evolution is clear without losing her colour.

On stage, the show leans into synth-driven cuts, chant-ready hooks and candid exchanges that pull the room in close. GIRLI plays Band on the Wall in Manchester on 2 November 2026, with More Than A Friend likely to sit alongside new material and fan favourites.
