L.A. Guns

L.A. Guns bring their Sunset Strip-born hard rock to Rescue Rooms in Nottingham on 1 November 2026. Formed in 1983 by guitarist Tracii Guns — who briefly passed through the earliest incarnation of Guns N’ Roses — the band found its most enduring axis when vocalist Phil Lewis joined at the end of the decade. Their first run of albums, from L.A. Guns (1988) and Cocked & Loaded (1989) to Hollywood Vampires (1991), set the template: rapid-fire riffs, sleaze-tinged energy and melodic hooks balanced by bluesy ballads.

Through the 1990s and 2000s, line-up changes pushed the group into tougher territories, flirting with heavier and punkier shades on Vicious Circle (1994), American Hardcore (1996) and Tales from the Strip (2005), while keeping a steady live presence. The renewed Guns–Lewis partnership since the late 2010s sparked a new run — The Missing Peace (2017), The Devil You Know (2019), Checkered Past (2021) and Black Diamonds (2023) — that leans into a more melodic hard rock without losing bite. On stage, expect a set that threads early staples with recent cuts, anchored by Tracii’s sharp guitar work and Phil’s distinctive grain, rooted in their glam metal origins with a modern edge.
