Eric Johnson

Eric Johnson brings his guitar voice to Islington Assembly Hall in London on 25 July 2026. The Austin player first broke out with Tones in 1986 and has since built a catalogue of seventeen albums, plus collaborations including Eclectic with jazz guitarist Mike Stern and the G3 project with Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. Along the way he’s earned eight Grammy nominations and a win for the instrumental Cliffs of Dover.

On stage, Johnson navigates rock, blues and jazz fusion with detours into folk, soul, classical and country, toujours au service de la mélodie. His hallmark is a clear, singing tone, precise articulation and a taste for refined harmonies, whether in electric drive or in more acoustic, intimate textures.
