Fatboi Sharif is an American avant-garde hip-hop artist from New Jersey. He is known for abstract lyricism and dark soundscapes. His live set often includes a call and response with the crowd on "my family!".
Influences include Sun Ra, Parliament-Funkadelic, Alice Coltrane, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Ultramagnetic MCs, Freestyle Fellowship, Cannibal Ox, Rob Zombie, and Pig Destroyer. His debut Ape Twin (2017) was re-released on vinyl with bonus tracks.
