Faraquet (US / Dischord Records) — live in Berlin
Formed in the late ’90s in Washington, DC, Faraquet emerged in experimental rock, combining intricate melodies, sharp dynamic shifts, and unconventional song structures. Though their original run was brief, the band left an imprint on the ’90s indie and progressive underground.
Faraquet return to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their LP The View From This Tower, released by Dischord Records. Initially somewhat overlooked, the album has since gained recognition in ’90s experimental rock and is regarded as a math-rock record that influenced musicians with its sharp dynamics, intricate playing, and unconventional structures.
To mark the occasion, Devin Ocampo, Jeff Boswell, and Chad Molter reunite for their first live performances since 2008.
On July 25, Faraquet will play Neue Zukunft in Berlin.
