Yaelokre

On 2 November 2026 at Manchester Academy, Manchester, Yaelokre brings the Meadowlark universe to the stage. Led by Filipino-Icelandic singer-songwriter and multimedia artist Keath Ósk, Yaelokre moves between Reykjavik and the Philippines, blending acoustic folk, OPM influences and a tale-like imagination. Since 2024, the project has taken shape as a narrative world told through songs, illustrations and a theatrical approach where masked characters answer one another.

Live, Yaelokre appears in costume and masks, sometimes solo, sometimes with a small ensemble, letting the voice, stripped melodies and light arrangements carry the story. The set draws from the debut EP Hayfields (2024), where Harpy Hare first outlined this landscape, then extends through Songs of Origin (2024) and Origins (2025), which deepen the perspectives of the figures at the core of Meadowlark. For this show, the performance leans on storytelling, shifting from intimate folk to contemporary pop-folk textures, with visuals that connect the music to its evolving mythology.
