Info
On 21 May 2026 at Belgrave Music Hall in Leeds, Swiss quartet Lone Assembly bring a tense blend of new wave, romantic synthpop and dark, melancholic post-punk. Formed by Raphaël Bressler (vocals, keyboards), Glenn Le Meur (guitar), Jim Bodeman (bass) and Romain Segu (drums), the band first drew attention in 2024 with the EP That Never Happened, exploring grief, emotional distance and vulnerability through cold-wave textures and precise production. Their debut album Knots & Chains, released in February 2026 via Irascible Records, pushes further with thunderous basslines, hypnotic rhythms, reverb-drenched guitars and atmospheric synths framing Bressler’s deep, resonant voice. On stage, they match gothic-tinged visuals with tight, driving arrangements rooted in the new-wave and dark-wave scenes, without losing a pop sensibility.
Also on the bill, London-based electropop artist and producer Ro Nova fuses ’80s synth hues with ethereal vocals for a sound that’s both nostalgic and forward-looking. Since her debut single do you think it’s fine?, she’s earned support from BBC Radio 1, BBC London and Reprezent Radio, with nods from Harriet Rose and James Threlfall. A feature with German electronic artist Schiller, tied to his No.1 album Illuminate, opened doors to a European tour including Berlin’s Uber Arena. She has collaborated with Fred again.. and Kamille, with sessions alongside RAYE, MNEK and Toddla T. After standout sets at The Great Escape and London’s Scala, Ro Nova joins Lone Assembly on their 2026 UK dates.
