SWMRS return to London for a one-off headline show marking 10 years of their debut album Drive North, on 15 May 2026 at The George Tavern. Raised in the Oakland punk scene, the band began when brothers Max and Cole Becker started writing songs as teenagers; with their younger brother Cade on bass since 2022, the family thread now runs through every part of the project. Over years of touring and lineup shifts, they’ve carved a tight, melodic strain of indie punk that swings from surf-tinged riffs to brisk tempos and chant-ready hooks.

This anniversary set puts Drive North front and centre, revisited with the sharper edges and added range the group has honed since its release, and folded in with tracks from Berkeley’s on Fire and newer material. On stage, SWMRS keep it close and kinetic: guitars and vocals bounce between the Beckers while the rhythm section pins down the momentum. In an intimate room like The George Tavern, the focus lands on the songs and the chemistry that built them—straight to the point, high-energy and rooted in the California punk spirit that shaped the band from day one.
