The View bring their Hats Off to the Buskers 20th anniversary tour to O2 Academy Oxford on 18 March 2027, celebrating the debut album that first put the Dundee band on the map. Formed in the mid-2000s around Kyle Falconer, Kieren Webster and Pete Reilly, The View shaped a lean, melodic indie rock grounded in punk urgency, power-pop hooks and a down-to-earth, pub-rock edge, with their Scottish roots never far from the surface. Tracks like Wasted Little DJs and Same Jeans carried them through the UK circuit and into festival slots, while follow-up albums — from Which Bitch? and Cheeky for a Reason to Ropewalk and, more recently, Exorcism of Youth — kept pushing the writing without losing those bright guitars and direct choruses. This anniversary run turns the spotlight back on the songs that kicked it all off, revisiting that first era with the perspective of later records and the band’s tight core still in place.
