Info
Ray LaMontagne brings the Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour to Usher Hall in Edinburgh on 31 May 2026. Twenty years after his debut, he returns to the songs that revealed his grainy voice, unhurried tempos and pared-back acoustic lines. Trouble, with its folk core and quiet soul undertow, set the tone for a catalogue that navigates intimate confession and grounded Americana. On stage, LaMontagne lets the melodies breathe, his vocals riding close to the mic while guitar figures sketch out the space around them.
This anniversary date leans into that early palette while opening onto the rest of his path, from Till the Sun Turns Black and Gossip in the Grain to God Willin’ & the Creek Don’t Rise, Supernova, Ouroboros, Part of the Light and Monovision. The night centers on storytelling and texture over effect, moving between solo hush and warmer, electric grain. A chance to hear Trouble’s tracks with the weight of years behind them, carried by a songwriter who keeps the focus on songcraft and voice.
