Beverley Knight brings her Born To Perform Tour to The Hexagon in Reading on 10 June 2026. Raised in a Pentecostal church in Wolverhampton and of Jamaican heritage, she folds gospel roots into a blend of soul, contemporary R&B and neo-soul. Since her debut The B-Funk in 1995, she’s built a catalogue that runs from Prodigal Sista and the more personal Who I Am to the pop-leaning Affirmation, then Music City Soul, 100%, the tribute set Soul UK, Soulsville, and most recently The Fifth Chapter in 2023.

On stage, that journey becomes a set that moves between tight, funk-edged grooves and slow-burning ballads, carried by a live band and harmonies anchored in gospel. Her West End roles in The Bodyguard, Memphis, Cats, The Drifters Girl, Sylvia and Sister Act sharpen her sense of timing and storytelling, while years on major stages, from opening for Take That to supporting Prince at the O2, shape her live approach.
