Lola Young

Lola Young lands at the O2 Apollo, Manchester on 10 June 2026 with a set that threads modern soul, R&B and understated pop. Raised in South London, she started writing early, shaping piano-led ballads and more rhythmic cuts before playing small rooms around the city. That groundwork led to the EPs Intro (2019), Renaissance (2020) and After Midnight (2021), each opening a different angle on her husky vocal tone and intimate storytelling. A 2021 cover of Together in Electric Dreams broadened her reach, and her first album, This Wasn’t Meant For You Anyway (2024), pushed further into narrative writing while staying rooted in a contemporary, minimalist soul sound.

On stage, Young plays with a full band and keeps the arrangements lean, centering the grain of her voice. The set moves between slow-build ballads and more rhythmic pieces, folding in songs from the debut alongside material from the early EPs, often reworked for the room. Simple and focused, her live approach extends the pared-back aesthetic of the records and brings the writing into sharper relief.
