Shed Seven

Shed Seven return to Manchester with a set built on sharp guitars, straight-ahead choruses and the punchy live energy that has defined them since the start. On 5 December 2026 at O2 Apollo, Manchester, Rick Witter leads the York-formed outfit through indie rock with a britpop tint, where melodies stick and the rhythm section keeps it lean and urgent. Expect a show that draws lines between their early days and their recent run, without losing the immediacy that made their songs click on stage.

Formed in 1990, the band broke through in the mid-90s with Change Giver, A Maximum High and Let It Ride, releases that set their blend of alternative and indie rock in motion. After Truth Be Told in 2001 and a split in 2003, they regrouped in 2007 and gradually rebuilt momentum, returning to the studio with Instant Pleasures in 2017. The current line-up, including Tim Wills and Rob Maxfield alongside long-time members, has kept the pace with A Matter of Time in 2024 and Liquid Gold the same year, revisiting and re-recording parts of their catalogue. Live, that history turns into a tight, unfussy set where older tracks and newer cuts sit side by side.
