Bilmuri lands at Barrowland Ballroom, Glasgow, on 30 June 2026. Led by Johnny Franck (ex-Attack Attack!), the project has grown from a solo studio venture into a flexible live outfit, switching between post-hardcore drive, melodic metalcore and emo-pop hooks. Punchy guitars, slick electronics and flashes of brass give the tracks a distinct edge. A steady run of short releases — Rich Sips (2019), Eggy Pocket (2020), Goblin Hours (2022), American Motor Sports (2023) — marks a shift toward more sung, chorus-led writing, where internet references meet introspective themes. On stage, Bilmuri channels that blend with a lineup built to pivot from tension to release.
Also on the bill, Melbourne’s Thornhill brings a metalcore base shaped by groove and shadowy atmospheres. After early EPs 13 (2016) and Butterfly (2018), the band set a modern, subtly progressive tone with The Dark Pool (2019), then steered toward a more alternative palette on Heroine (2022), folding in late-90s/2000s rock and nu metal textures. Heavy guitars collide with melodic vocals and bursts of aggression, playing on contrasts that stretch from tight rhythmic pressure to widescreen climaxes.
