Kingfishr

Formed in Limerick during their uni years, Kingfishr is the trio of singer-guitarist Eddie Keogh with bandmates McGoo and Fitz, anchored in today’s Irish folk and indie scene. Their songwriting blends melodic folk with a quiet alt-rock push and a hint of indie-pop, built on close harmonies, acoustic guitar lines and unfussy percussion. The lyrics lean into landscapes, family ties and the thresholds of growing up, with choruses that take their time to climb rather than chase the peak.

After first sharing songs online, the group rolled out a series of singles, including Flowers-Fire and Anyway, sketching a sound defined by patient builds and open, singable hooks. On stage, they keep it direct and clear, moving from small Irish rooms to UK festival slots while staying focused on the song and its dynamics.
