Info
The Black Crowes bring their blues-soaked rock to Albert Hall, Manchester on 25 June 2026. Led by brothers Chris and Rich Robinson, the band blends southern grit, soul inflections and 70s-leaning riffs into songs built for the stage. Their catalogue moves from the punch of Hard to Handle and the confessional She Talks to Angels to the deeper grooves of The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion and the rough-edged sway of Amorica. Live, the music stretches and breathes: open-tuned guitars locking with a dense rhythm section, Hammond swells and stacked harmonies pushing the choruses, space for jams without losing the song.
This show looks set to draw on their early landmarks while folding in newer material from Happiness Bastards (2024), a reminder of a band that writes and tours in cycles but always returns with sharpened edges. Chris’s grainy, elastic vocal and Rich’s melodic bite stay at the core, a contrast that gives the set its pull. In the hall’s resonant room, the Crowes’ mix of barroom stomp, gospel-tinged chorus work and unhurried dynamics should land with clarity, from tight, radio-born cuts to longer, slow-burn turns.
