Thee Sacred Souls land at Brighton Centre in Brighton and Hove, United Kingdom, on 15 July 2026. Formed in San Diego, the trio unites singer Josh Lane with bassist Sal Samano and drummer Alex Garcia around a pared-back soul sound shaped by the 60s and 70s. Signed to Daptone’s Penrose imprint, they made their name with 45s like Can I Call You Rose? and Weak for Your Love before releasing a self-titled debut in 2022, cut with an analog-first mindset.
On stage, they lean into simple, direct melodies, supple bass lines and unfussy drums, with discreet horns and harmonies that echo West Coast and Philadelphia soul, plus a touch of chicano soul. The repertoire moves between tender ballads and mid-tempo R&B grooves, carried by Lane’s light, expressive vocals and a rhythm section that favors feel over flash. The set revisits classic arrangements while keeping the focus on original songs, played with a present-day sensibility.
