Info
RADAR Festival: Sunday takes place on Sunday 2 August 2026 at O2 Victoria Warehouse in Stretford, bringing a lineup that moves from instrumental prog to hardcore and modern metal. On the bill: Animals as Leaders, The Pineapple Thief, Voyager, Employed To Serve and ten56.
Animals as Leaders, formed by guitarist Tosin Abasi and now a trio with Javier Reyes and Matt Garstka, explore an instrumental language of odd meters, layered melodies and djent-meets-jazz-fusion textures. Live, their focus is the collective groove and rhythmic interplay, no vocals, built on precision.
Led by singer-guitarist Bruce Soord, The Pineapple Thief balance progressive detail with melodic clarity and a melancholic edge. With Gavin Harrison on drums alongside Jon Sykes and Steve Kitch, they extend the path set on It Leads to This (2024).
From Perth, Voyager fold synth-driven sheen into tightly structured progressive metal without losing weight in the guitars. Their 2023 Eurovision appearance with Promise broadened their reach while keeping a core mix of melody and technique.
Built around Justine Jones and Sammy Urwin, Employed To Serve fuse abrasive hardcore with modern metal groove. From Conquering to the new record Fallen Star and its collaborations, the band tightens its sound with a blend of impact and control.
Fronted by Aaron Matts, ten56. slows deathcore to a lurching tempo, drawing on nu metal and industrial hues. Heavy guitars, jagged rhythms and a vocal range that flips between screams, rap-like phrasing and spoken passages shape their sound.
