Info
Bon Jovi bring four decades of American rock to Edinburgh on 28 August 2026 at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium. Formed in 1983 in Sayreville, New Jersey, the band forged a sound where hard rock meets glam sheen and pop sensibility, with writing built for big stages. Around singer Jon Bon Jovi with David Bryan and Tico Torres, they first broke through with the 1984 debut, then reached a wider audience with Slippery When Wet (1986) and New Jersey (1988), including a key collaboration with songwriter Desmond Child.
The 1990s marked a shift toward a more mature rock on Keep the Faith (1992) and These Days (1995), before a strong return with Crush (2000). The following years opened the palette between stadium rock, pop rock and country touches on Have a Nice Day (2005) and Lost Highway (2007). After Richie Sambora’s departure in 2013, Phil X took over on guitar and Hugh McDonald became an official member. Bon Jovi has continued its path with This House Is Not for Sale (2016), 2020 (2020) and Forever (2024), a catalogue cut for arenas, with clear, driving guitars and carefully crafted rock ballads.
