Built around the married duo of Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Blount-Trotter, the show leans on tight harmonies, a call-and-response flow and songs that trace couplehood, faith and everyday grit. Tanya comes from an R&B path; Michael, a former soldier, writes with the pull of spirituals and classic country.
